Niche FM’s Brief: An Overview of the Project

Niche FM was engaged by Dunedin City Council to assist the Property Group to improve delivery of its services. During our eighteen-month engagement we assisted Council in;

  • Implementation of a comprehensive work order management system
  • Recruitment and re-alignment of staff
  • Development and implementation of site specific maintenance plans
  • Assistance with preparation of maintenance tenders and selection of tender submissions
  • Establishment and management of scheduled maintenance services to council owned commercial properties
  • Management of maintenance and refurbishment of properties within the community housing portfolio of Dunedin City Council
  • Engagement of trade services and implementation of long-term contracts
  • Implementation and integration of a property asset management system
  • Interim building compliance management
  • Remediation of building compliance defects and project management

This engagement included a full Niche FM Consulting team approach for the various elements and saw us take a lead in the development, implemention and execution of Facilities and Asset Management obligations and requirements.
